Kristi Moomey's passion is in creating unique one of a kind pieces of art reminiscent of Earths natural gifts and color palletes combined with expressions of emotion and depth by combining her love for nature and experimenting with new techniques. She uses semi-precious stones from around the world along with found objects on purposeful walks on the ocean beaches for many of her pieces. Her paintings are mixed media: creating 3 dimensional wonders that encompass her love of nature. Kristi's resin paintings are best experienced in person where one can truly capture the beauty of each piece and it's depth. Kristi enjoys the process of developing and experimenting with new ways to use mediums in her artworks which provide moments of serenity as well as complexity for each person viewing the piece. Her work has been featured in a variety of galleries and hotels and she is origninally from Minnesota, beautiful lake country where Kristi currently is residing in Eugene with her husband John. She graduated from the University of Oregon with a Fine Arts degree and now enjoys painting and running KMoomeyStudios.com and is a member of the Pacific Rim Art Guild.
